TRADE TERMS
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THESE CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR ORDER.
SPECIAL CUSTOMER SELECTION
- This site contains only a small part of our stock of new and scarce
books. In the case of scarce titles, single copies only are available.
They are therefore offered subject to availability at the time of
firm order. Please send an initial enquiry before placing a firm order.
- ORDERS: Firm orders should be emailed to or

We are normally open from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm but would advise
that customers telephone or email first. Books are dispatched, on receipt of
the order and payment, via Parcel Post or Parcel Force International
to the address specified in the order and we will send proof of Shipment
to customer. The Maghreb Bookshop assumes
no responsibility for non-delivery, but any non-receipt should be
notified within three (3) weeks of posting, so that the postal authorities
can be informed.
Our books are securely packed and Notification should be given on
receipt of any book received in a damaged condition for reference
to the postal authorities. Carriage and Insurance is obligatory and
is additional to the price quoted.
CANCELLATION: We can only accept cancellation of an order if
notice of cancellation reaches us before we send out books ordered.
MINIMUM ORDER: Please note that we can only process orders
for a minimum of £30.00.
POSTAGE:
UK: ADD £6.70 for the first book ordered and £4.50 for each additional book.
OUTSIDE THE UK: Postage costs in the UK are changing regularly, therefore please contact us to request a pro-forma invoice for any book(s) you wish to purchase.
Note: For online orders in the UK placed using the Add to shopping basket buttons
the postage cost is calculated and shown separately in the basket.

1.) By cheque in GBP Sterling ONLY must be drawn on a Bank in the United Kingdom.

BANK CHARGE: ALL Bank transfer charges from Overseas and from the United Kingdom must be paid by the sender.
IMPORTANT If you pay into our Bank account, please send proof
of payment, and mailing address so we can amend our records (without
this, we would not be able to know who has paid).
If customers confirm by email or phone that their cheque is on the way
to us or that they are transferring the money to our bank account,
books will be kept for up to 10 days.
CREDIT CARDS: We accept Credit Cards online, with secure transaction
facility handled by PayPal. We accept the following credit cards:
Mastercard, Switch, Visa, Visa Electron,
and Solo.
The Maghreb Review and The Maghreb Bookshop takes no responsibility
for any errors between customer and PayPal transaction transfers,
but please inform us immediately of any problems which may arise.
- Firm orders from Institutional subscribers to The Maghreb Review,
National, Universities, and Governmental Libraries who are known to
us not to be slow payers will be supplied with an invoice for payment
on receipt of the books.
- Items are browsable in various categories or alphabetically by author
and searchable by keyword. To browse or search, click on the Search
Booklists button in the menubar.
- Customs Information
When ordering goods from The Maghreb Bookshop for delivery outside of the United Kingdom, you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from The Maghreb Bookshop, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Generally, customs forms for international packages will list the value of the contents of your order by product type. For instance, orders will generally be listed in a way similar to the following example:

Please note that: if you do not collect your order from your local Post Office Customs, books will be returned and will be re-send in the same conditions received by us and only when we are reimbursed.
Your privacy is important to us and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international customers and customers dispatching products internationally to be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
Also, we may provide certain order, delivery and product information, such as titles, to our international carriers and such information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws.
